Astoria Family-Owned Lot

1985
The Treeline Companies is founded by Frances & Glenn Schor as a vertically-integrated real estate development, investment and management company.
1986
Ground-up construction of over 300 apartment units and townhomes in New York City; successful disposition track record. (1986 – 1990)
1988
The Treeline Companies pivots to the management of REOs for local banks in light of the savings & loan crisis. The Treeline Companies’ relationships and experience in the commercial office markets in NY grow. (1988 – 1989)
1993
Acquisition of 188 Montague Street, establishing The Treeline Companies as an office owner in Brooklyn.
1997
Acquisition and repositioning of 175 Remsen Street as the first and premier location for NYC governmental agencies and not-for-profit organizations – demonstrating Treeline’s creativity and knowledge of the market to create a new type of specialty asset.
2001
Acquisition of Garden City Plaza, 600K SF office complex – one of the largest in the Garden City, NY market – repaired the reputation of the building as a first-class asset after acquiring through a bankruptcy sale process.
2004
Repositioning of 180 Livingston Street – gut renovation of 250,000 SF former Macy’s warehouse into Class A office building – execution of a long-term headquarters lease with the NYC Transit Authority.
2006
177 Livingston Street is built through the partial acquisition of Macy’s department store. Transformed the 1880s-built store into a modern state-of-the-art office building with all new building systems and cutting-edge amenities while maintaining landmarked unique architectural features.
2010
Successful recapitalization of Franklin Avenue Plaza with Long Wharf Real Estate Partners, a Boston-based institutional capital group, despite uncertain market conditions after the 2008 real estate crash.
2014
Acquisition, development and construction of Astoria Central, a 114-unit, ground-up construction Class A residential building in booming Queens, NY. (2014 – 2018)
2016
Acquisition and redevelopment of 3 Huntington Quadrangle (Melville, NY) in partnership with JP Morgan Asset Management; turn around of 400K SF office complex, execution of 150K square foot renewal lease with Northwell Health System; disposition of asset after 24 months for more than 2x of the purchase price. (2016 – 2018)
2020
The Treeline Companies enters Carolina markets with the acquisition of Class A industrial property The Exchange (3700 Highway 421, Wilmington, NC).
2022
The Treeline Companies expands its industrial footprint in the Carolinas with the acquisition of The Yard (2830 Highway 421, Wilmington, NC) and Victory Crossing (Victory Trail Road, Gaffney, SC).
